This is in a great spot right now. It is still youthful and rambunctious but has calmed a bit since release. Purple in color, ruby at the rim. The nose has raspberries, slight strawberries with underlying coffee grounds. On the palate, this is juicy with a great texture. Delicious. Raspberries with underlying char. Clean. Will work with spicy or heavier foods. This should evolve over the next decade, but this style will fade in a year or so to be a kinder gentler wine. Its good right now.

Nice to revisit this wine. It was quite rambunctious on release and while still more of a brawny Zin it has started the evolution to more claret in style. Purple in color with ruby swirls. The nose has raspberries, black cherries, some spice and black pepper. On the palate, this is medium bodied. Plenty of raspberries and cherries with some dry charred earthiness. There is some warmth on the finish but not enough to be a concern. There does seem to be enough fruit to last, so the question is what you are looking for in a Zinfandel. This was quite good. It is still young but drinking great. It should continue to evolve and mature and should be good for another decade and probably more. Inky purple in color, ruby at the rim. On the nose, this has nice bramble, black cherry fruit, raspberries, pepper and spice. A very nice lush texture. Black cherries on the palate with underlying char and dry earth. Long finish. This is delicious and continued to open though it didn't take long to finish the bottle. Would work well with spicy foods and grilled foods.

This is still young but drinking quite well now. Purple in color. The nose has dark cherries, black raspberries, leather, bramble and spice. On the palate, this is juicy with lots of fruit. Black cherries mostly. Some leathery tannins. Depth. Delicious. Drank over a couple days, it was better on day 2. Nice finish. Food friendly or on its own.

This is a blend from the winery's home vineyard of 87% Zinfandel, 13% Mixed Black Varieties (Alicante Bouschet, Petite Sirah, Grand Noir, Peloursin, Trousseau Noir, Tempranillo, Carignan, Muscadelle, Malvasia, Muscat, Clairette blanche & 28 Other Varieties). Purple in color with some ruby swirls, opaque and bright. The nose takes about twenty minutes to open and then just keeps improving. Just a beautiful wine. Drinking youthfully but showing some development. Open for business. Purple in color. The nose has leather, bramble, black raspberries. Very deep. With air, some graphite. On the palate, black raspberries with an underlayer of charred earth. A lovely texture; both velvety and intense. great finish. This would pair with heartier foods and certainly spicy foods. This may not get better but has five to seven years left at peak easily and probably more as it morphs into more of a claret styled Zin. So good right now though.
