Who says Sauvignon Blanc does not age? At age 13, this one is great. Medium golden in color, clear and bright. The nose is mostly mineral driven but also some peach and slight pear notes. Clean. Medium bodied. Slightly oily texture. On the palate, plenty of depth. Flavors of peach, with some minerals/chalkiness. Long finish. This is very nice on its own but will work with many foods. Goat cheeses would work well but this also worked well with a Asian Spiced Cucumber Salad. Despite its age this seemed like it would go another eight to ten years.
