This is a somewhat modern in style yet elegant Barolo from the excellent 2010 vintage.  Light ruby with some bricking in color, clear and bright.  The nose is lovely with cherries, black cherries, rose petals, spice, some oak, and char.  Medium to full bodied.  Medium tannins.  Excellent acidity.  On the palate, this has a nice depth and complexity.  Flavors of cherries, dried cherries, black cherries along with a slight forest floor and char.  Long finish.  This is nice on its own but really needs food to shine.  It worked very nicely with a Mushroom Pasta.  This is just starting to get close to peak drinking but should have at least another ten to fifteen years.
