This is a blend of 95% Merlot and 5% Cabernet Franc from Bordeaux. The vintage, 2010, wasa great vintage but it is taking those wines a long time to develop. Purple in color with a ruby rim, opaque and bright. The nose is tight but with a bit of air opens to show black cherries, a note of celery, slight chocolate, and slight cigar tobacco. Full bodied. Medium tannins. An interesting "jelly-like" texture. On the palate, flavors of black cherries with a hint of cocoa. This seems to need more time or a long decant. That said, it probably needs to be consumed in the next five to ten years. Better with food. This needs a fatty steak or Prime Rib.
