Always a treat to open a bottle of Grand Cru Burgundy.  This took some time to open and then showed very well.  Ruby in color, clear and bright.  The nose is very reticent on opening but after an hour is was open and eventually showed cherries, slight raspberries, spice, and a slight wild herbal note.  Medium to full bodied.  Medium tannins.  The palate was more open to start and kept improving all night as well.  Flavors of cherries, raspberries and herbs.  Long finish.  This is very nice on its own but would be better with food.  It went quite well with stir-fried Tofu in a peanut lime sauce.  Probably not a full maturity yet but getting close.  Drink over the next fifteen years.
