Origami A Thousand Cranes Junmai Sake, USA, Arkansas, Sake Review

This is a Junmai Sake brewed in Arkansas.  As different as that sounds, this is quite good!  14.5% abv.  Served chilled.  Pale golden in color with slight silvery/green hues, clear and bright.  The nose has melons, with a touch of pear and a slight floral note.  Nice medium bodied texture.  Crisp acidity.  On the palate, this is both refreshing and delicious.  The melon flavors come thru especially honeydew.  There is some clean earthiness which gives it a nice complexity.  It is nice on its own but even better with food.  It worked quite nicely with Pad Thai.  Enjoy over the next year or two.  I tried four different styles and this was my favorite.  Comes in a 750ml bottle.
