Maybe it is because this was our fourth winery tour of the day and I no doubt had some palate fatigue, but this really woke my palate up. Fresh and energetic, it was just what I needed at that point in the day. It is 100% Nebbiolo made in steel tanks. Pale ruby in color, clear and bright. The nose is nice. earthy with macerated cherries and just a hint of "wild herbs". Medium bodied. Medium tannins. Nice acidity. On the palate, cherries with slight minty notes. There is some complexity and it may gain more with a bit of ageing, but this dranks so easily. It would probably be better with a nice plate of pasta and mushrooms for lunch. Long finish. Drink over the next ten years. For those looking for a more affordable Nebbiolo without sacrificing quality, this is an amazing value.
