The name of the wine is due to the vineyard being situated near a cemetery. Inky purple, opaque and bright. The nose is tight at first but with air it shows cassis, coffee beans, slight blueberries, spice and light char. Medium to full bodied. Medium tannins. Great acidity. On the palate, this is more on the elegant/lighter side (compared to their other wines). Flavors of cassis, black cherries, milk chocolate, spice and char. Concentrated. Long finish. This is young and will improve with some cellaring. It is very nice on its own but also worked well with a Tofu vegetable stir fry with rice. Hold for three years and drink for ten to fifteen after that.
