My personal favorite in the Vida Valiente line-up (at least for now).  Inky purple in color, opaque and shimmering bright.  The nose is great and interesting.  Cassis, black olives, black pepper, roasted herbs and spices.  Full bodied.  Firm tannins.  Moderate acidity.  On the palate, flavors of cassis, coffee, spice, black cherries and char.  This has plenty of depth and with good cellaring should develop a great complexity.  Long finish.  This drinks great on its own right now and will need big food to stand up to it.  It would be great with Steak Au Poivre.  The score should go up with good cellaring and it would not be a surprise to see this earning a 100 score in time.  If drinking sooner, an eight hour decant is not a bad idea.  Drink over the next twenty to thirty years.
