One of my favorite Chardonnays.  I opened this for a couple who professed to HATE oaky Chardonnays.  This has oak and it comes thru clearly, but in a way that works seamlessly with the fruit.  The couple was challenged as they noted the oak, more in the form of vanilla and body, yet, LOVED the wine.  Light golden in color, clear and bright.  The nose has grapefruit, slight peach vanilla and spice.  Full bodied.  Light tannins.  Well balanced.  On the palate, this has enough acidity to make the wine very food friendly.  A beautiful, almost seamless, texture.  Delicious flavors of grapefruit, vanilla and lemon cream.  Long finish.  This is young and may improve a bit but should drink well for another ten to twelve years.
