This is 100% Teroldego from northern Italy (Trentino) in the Dolomites. It is certified organic and biodynamic. It is the entry level red for Foradori. Purple in color with ruby hues, mostly opaque and bright. The nose is deep with black cherries, black raspberries and slight plums along with a touch of dark chocolate, leather and slight char. Full bodied. Firm tannins. Great acidity. On the palate, this is youthful but drinking well. Flavors of black cherries, cherries, black raspberries, char and slight chocolate notes. Long finish. Nice on its own, this is better with food and, as it matures, will need food. This would work well with a Hearty Osso Bucco but also Roasted Butternut Squash. Drink over the next eight to twelve years.
