2022 E. Pira & Figli (Chiara Boschis) Dolcetto d'Alba, Piedmont, Wine Review

Ordered off the list at EasyCosi Barolo in the town of Barolo.  A really nice choice for lunch while spending the day visiting wineries.  This is a lighter styled wine that worked great with our food.  It is 100% Dolcetto from three sites in Monforte d'Alba.  Pale ruby in color, clear and bright.  The nose has raspberries, cherries and slight fresh herbal note.  Medium bodied.  Nice acidity.  Light tannins. On the palate, a touch of depth but refreshing and worked very well with my Gnocchi.  Flavors of cherries and raspberries.  Good finish.  Drink over the next couple of years.  By the way, the restaurant was great.  A small number of tables with delicious food.  Also highly recommended.
