This is a Chardonnay from Argentina. Light golden in color, watery at the rim, clear and bright. The nose is a bit reductive but also some grapefruit and a bit of minerality. Full bodied. Light tannins. On the palate, nice minerality with slight lemon notes. Moderate finish. This is a very refreshing wine that is nice on its own and would work well with a Tuna or Crab salad. Drink over the next few years.
An interesting Chardonnay from Argentina. Grown at high altitude, and picked early, the label lists 75 calories in a 5 oz.
This is a really great value for a nice, easy to drink Chardonnay. Made with Organic grapes and coming in at 12.5% ABV. Screw capped. Pale gold in color with slight green hues, clear and bright. The nose is tight at first but opens with some air. Slightly viscous and slightly oily texture. On the palate, this is more open with grapefruit notes. Long finish with strong grapefruit notes. Good acidity. This drinks very well on its own and is also food friendly with lighter foods. It worked with with stuffed grape leaves. Drink over the next few years.
An interesting wine. The literature along with the wine indicated that this was sweet, but not really. Perhaps a perception of sweetness and indeed, the literature also indicates that the sugars are 1.61 (assuming g/l). In any event, this is a really nice Chardonnay that should be quite popular.
