This is a Pinot Noir from te Central Coast of California. The "purpose" of this winery is to make wine and donate half of the profits to Dog Rescue charities which is great! The wine is ruby in color with a touch or darker brown hues, clear and bright. On the nose, this is dusty with cherries and a slight "aquarium" note. Nice texture. Lighter tannins. On the palate, flavors of cherries, slight dark cherries and some strawberries. The finish has a bit of a medicinal/minty note. Served to a group of people, the label of English Bulldogs (so I was told), was very popular. This should drink well for the next three to five years. It worked well with assorted finger foods, but this probably better served on its own with some explanation about the winery.
