2020 Bodegas DiamAndes Malbec/Syrah Perlita, Argentina, Mendoza, Valley de Uco, Wine Review

This is a relatively inexpensive blend from Argentina made to be consumed immediately.  It is a blend of 80/20 Malbec/Syrah.  Deep ruby in color with some purple swirls.  Mostly opaque and bright.  The nose is bright with black cherries and plums and some spice (almost cinammon?) on the back end.  Medium bodied.  Nice backbone of acidity.  Light tannnins.  On the palate, black cherries with slight black raspberries.  Good finish.  Though the Malbec seems to dominate this wine, the Syrah gives it a nice structure and a bit of energy.  It drinks great on its own, and worked nicely with a tomato salad, no easy feat for these grapes.  drink over the next three to five years.  A tremendous value in easy drinking red wine!
