2019 William & Mary Cabernet Sauvignon Shifflett Ranch, USA, California, Napa, Wine Review

Beautiful wine.  Purple in  color, opaque and shimmering bright.  The nose is deep and complex with cassis, slight black cherries, leather, slight chocolate, spice and char.  Full bodied.  Firm tannins.  Nice energy and balance.  On the palate, this is young and took some time/air to open.  After a couple of hours, it was singing.  Flavors of cassis, black cherries, and milk chocolate with underlying slight earthiness.  Long finish.  This should continue to mature and develop but is drinking great now.  Drink over the next twenty to thirty years.  It is great on its own and will work well with many foods.  A nice wine with Roasted Lamb or Root Vegetables.
