Golden in color, clear and bright. The nose has apples, golden raisins, and slight lemon notes. On the palate, this has a slightly viscous texture. Apples and pears with a nice streak of acidity. Moderate finish. This drinks smoothly right now on its own. It will work well with lighter foods. Drink over the next few years.

This is a blend of Roussanne, Grenache Blanc, Picpoul Blanc, Picardan, and Clairette Blanche. From a 375ml size bottle which is a great format for early drinking or when one wants just another glass or two. Light golden in color, clear and bright. The nose is nice with pears, spice, slight wax, and slight honey. On the palate, this is full bodied. The pears come thru along with the baking spices. Good balance. Light tannins. Long finish. Grenache Blanc doesn't get enough respect. That may be because in Europe, it doesn't do as well and is used as a blending grape, seldom on its own. In California, however, there are many examples of Grenache Blanc being bottled independently and some of those are quite good. This is one of them. Tablas Creek specializes in Rhone varietals and while this wine is not sold en masse, it is available at the winery. Light golden in color. Light yellow, silvery, gold in color. Really nice nose with slight waxiness, minerals, citrus and slight dust. On the palate, this is crisp. Good citrus. Deep but tight. This wine drinks well now, but should improve in a cellar for a decade at least. Long finish. Very food friendly. Pretty wine.
