It was fun to try this blind as it often seems this is my favorite Zin in the Carlisle lineup when I see the label.  A blend of 96% Zinfandel and 4% Carignan.   Purple/ruby in color, opaque and bright.  The nose is very nice with raspberries, black raspberries, black cherries, spice and an interesting celery seed note.  Full bodied.  Great texture which is my favorite quality of the Papera offering.  Lush but pinpoint concentration.  On the palate, deep and complex.  Flavors of raspberries, black cherries, black raspberries, char and earth.  Long finish.  This is drinking quite well now and should drink well for another ten years.  A great wine for Pizza night but would also work well with a (Veggie) Burger off the grill.
