Campesino is a winery that makes excellent Rhone varietal wines for fair prices. It is a list that people should be signing up for if the wines are not available in the local marketplace. This is one of the better, more refreshing Rose's on the market made from mostly Grenache. Pale pink/copper in color. The nose is very pretty with fresh strawberries and cherries. On the palate, this has a nice liveliness. Good acidity. Notes of cherries and clementines along with an almond note that is very interesting. Nice strawberries on the finish. This probably should be consumed this year or next but will last a bit further. It will go great with summer salads but also roasted veggies.
