The folks at Cuvaison are always experimenting. For wine lovers this is exciting as something new seems to be always in the works. In 2021 they planted Grenache on part of their estate with the express purpose of making a Grenache rosé. Once again they excelled. Made from 100% Grenache, this offers lemon-lime, soft raspberry mild cherry, a bit of hibiscus, white peach and pink grapefruit, a light touch of rose water and a barely noticeable ginger root on the back palate. In spite of it being Grenache, they kept it lively and clean by fermenting in stainless steel to retain its crisp flavors and acidity. What is in the bottle is an elegant yet every day rosé that offers bright fruit, wonderful acidity and a wine that will hold its own on any dinner table.
