2016 Ca' del Bosco Franciacorta Cuvée Annamaria Clementi Dosage Zero, Italy, Lombardia, Franciacorta, Wine Review

Wow, this is impressive.  Zero dosage and nine years on the lees.  83% Chardonnay, 15% Pinot Nero and 2% Pinot Blanc.  Medium deep gold in color with a nice mousse, tiny  bubbles, clear and bright.  The nose is fresh with lemon verbena, grapefruit, and minerality.  With air, some peach enters.  Great acidity.  On the palate, peach is more at the forefront along with lemon verbena and minerality.  Long finish.  This is very food friendly and will work great with everything from popcorn to sushi to a steak.  At age nine it shows the slightest bit of age but should easily go another ten years more if you like age on your  sparklers.
