This is a reasonably priced Zin. It is slightly sweet and on the lighter style of Zin so factor that into your buying decision. I quite enjoyed it. Drunk over two nights, it was better on Night 2. Deep ruby in color. The nose has cherries, spice and dust. On the palate, the cherries come thru. No tannins to speak of. Easy drinking. Slightly sweet/ripe. Nice finish.
Looking for a good, not too expensive Zinfandel for parties, pizza night and just good sipping? Here ya go! This one retails for $20 and fits the bill. Ruby in color, clear and bright. The nose has cherries, sour cherries, a bit of sticks and stones and slight dust. On the palate, this is easy to drink. It is ripe but not over the top. Nice texture presumably from the high alcohol (15%). Good finish. This makes a nice cocktail wine but will go with big casual food. Sure to be a crowd pleaser.
This is a reasonably priced Napa Zin that is fairly available. Not a big wine at all. Purple in color, ruby at the rim. Mostly opaque and bright. The nose has some bramble and some cherries. On the palate, this is medium bodied with cherries and bitter cherries. No tannins to speak of. Easy drinking. A nice wine with a burger or pizza. Probably best drunk in the next few years.
