2015 Château d'Yquem, France, Bordeaux, Sauternes, Wine Review

Always a pleasure to drink d'Yquem, arguably the greatest wine in the world.  At age 10, this is still young with a light gold color, clear and bright.  The nose is gorgeous with apricots, pineapple, honey, orange peel and slight fig.  Full bodied.  Viscous.  Great energy and acidity.  On the palate, this is sweet not cloying with flavors of orange peel, apricots and honey along with just a touch of minerality.  A finish that goes on forever.  This is great on its own and will work well with certain desserts.  A dry, less sweet, cookie would work or better yet, just enjoy on its own and contemplate.  Drink over the next fifty years.
