2012 Domaine Dujac Vosne-Romanée 1er Cru Les Beaux Monts, France, Burgundy, Wine Review

Deep garnet in color, partly opaque and bright.  The nose is deep and excellent.  Earthy with black cherries and cherries and a nice minerality.  Medium to full bodied.  Lovely texture.  Great energy and balance.  On the palate, this is a big, forward wine that at age 13 is still very youthful although it seems very open and generous.  Flavors of cherries, slight black cherries, with some leathery/earthy notes.  Complex but tight layers. Long finnish. This should continue to develop and drink well for another ten to twenty years.  Great on its own, it should work well with many foods.  It would be great with Roasted Chicken or Duck.
