From Magnum. Deep garnet in color, partially opaque and bright. The nose is clean and very nice with black cherries, black raspberries, black pepper, black olives and roasted herbs. Medium to full bodied. Great energy and balance. On the palate, this is not yet at peak (maybe it is for a 750ml) but close. Light tannins. Great black cherry fruit with some black olive and black pepper. Long finish. This is nice on its own but better with food. It would work well with a Beef Stew. Drink over the next five to eight years.

This house and this wine don't seem to get the attention that they deserve despite the critics loving them. It is a blend of 45% Grenache, 45% Mourvedre and 10% Syrah. Purple in color, opaque and bright. The nose is big with black raspberries, black cherries, slight plums, spices, floral notes and roasted meats. Full bodied. Light tannins. Great energy. On the palate, this is delicious. Complex. Layers of black raspberries, plums and black cherries with some char and spice. Long finish. This is getting close to peak and should drink well for another eight to twelve years. Great

This is a blend of 85% Grenache and then 5% each of Syrah, Mourvèdre and Vaccarese. At age 16 it is just about at peak and drinking beautifully. Garnet in color, clear and bright. The nose has cherries, raspberries, licorice, slight roasted herbs and spice. Medium to full bodied. This is the elegant side of Chateauneuf. On the palate, its about red fruits with some underlying spice, char and herbs. Complex and layered, it unwinds in the glass. Lots of energy and precision. Nice finish. Good acidity. On the palate, black cherries and cherries with some black pepper and slight char. Good finish. This seems to be at peak but should drink at the level for another five years. Better with food. This would work well with roasted squash.

This is 95% Grenache. Ruby/purple in color, opaque and bright. The nose is nice with black cherries, cherries, char and floral notes. Medium to full bodied. Light tannins. Great texture. On the palate, this has lovely black cherry fruit, some cherries and spice. Nice finish. This seems to be about at peak at this point. It should drink well for another five to eight years, but won't get better. Nice on its own, this will be better with food. A nice wine with beef stew.
