This is a blend of 85% Merlot. 10% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon.  Purple/ruby in color, opaque and bright.  The nose has black cherries, black olives, cassis and tobacco.  On the palate, this is soft but juicy.  Cherry jelly flavors.  A bit of tart cherries especially on the finish.  Almost no tannins at this point.  This probably will not improve but drinking well today especially for those who like red fruits.  My notes say a great Bordeaux for Pinot lovers.  This should be at this level for another five to ten years.  It will go well roasted fowl.  This bottle was not as good as a bottle consumed a couple of years ago.
