Its always nice to find actual Champagne that retails for $30 (or less). This is one and is a very nice value. Light golden in color. A good amount of very small bubbles. The nose has minerals with slight ginger notes. Good acidity. Nice balance and finish. This is very food friendly and will match a wide variety of foods. It is dry and will also work for celebrations (but don't limit it to that).
Wow! Its vintage Krug, but still, wow! This is still young but it is opening up now and really hitting its stride. It has a couple of decades left or more, depending how you like older Champagne. Light golden in color. A nice mousse with lots of tiny bubbles. This is a big wine. The nose has toast, slight ginger, cherries and a slight hay note. This ubiquitous Champagne seems to be everywhere and sometimes, that means it can be easy to look past it (for wine geeks anyway). It is quite good. This is actually a special bottling to celebrate their 150th anniversary of their founding in 1869. It is a blend of equal parts Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier (30% to 40%) and the rest Chardonnay. A blend of 195 wines from twelve vintages back to 1998, 51% Pinot Noir, 38% Chardonnay, 11% Meunier, base vintage 2014, bottled spring 2021. Another top notch effort by arguably the best producer in Champagne. Light golden in color with a multitude of very tiny bubbles. Lovely froth. This is a blend of 32% Pinot Noir, 32% Chardonnay, 32% Meunier, and 4% Petit Meslier, Arbanne, and pinot Blanc according to the label. Of course, Zero Brut nature is an indication that this is the driest level of Champagne and has no added sugar prior to bottling. Light golden in color with a frothy mousse of tiny bubbles. Clear and bright. The nose is great with spice, ginger, slight golden delicious apples and a hint of lemon peel. Great acidity. Dry. On the palate, lemon peel with minerality and a touch of toast.
