Henri Bourgeois is one of the top affordable wineries in the eastern Loire Valley, France.  Of course, Sancerre is made from the Sauvignon Blanc grape but decidedly different in style than most other regions such as New Zealand or California.  Pale silvery gold in color with slight green hues, clear and bright.  Very nice nose with yellow grapefruit, slight pears and a hint of fresh hay.  Medium bodied.  Great balance.  On the palate, this has nice depth and plenty of fruit without being obvious.  Flavors of grapefruit with some minerality.  Good finish.   This is lovely on its own and  would work well with a Summer Melon Salad but also Tuna Steaks.  Drink over the next two or three years.
