2024 Galen Glen Grüner Veltliner Stone Cellar, USA, Pennsylvania, Lehigh Valley, Wine Review

This Gruner is from the Lehigh Valley in Pennsylvania.  At a recent tasting of Gruners, mostly Austrian, this was the groups WOTN (it finished second on my scorecard).  Very impressive showing from this family run winery.  Very impressive and quite a revelation.  Light golden in color, clear and bright.  The nose has lemons, slight limes along with an herbal note.  Very nice.  Medium to full bodied.  Oily texture which is quite nice.  Flavors of lemons and wet rocks.  Long finish.  This wine has depth and complexity.  It is lovely on its own and will be better with food.  This would go well with soft cheeses but also it should be perfect with Thai food.  Drink over the next four to six years.
