This is a sparkling wine made in the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania.  The Troxell family has been farming for many generations and Galen Troxell, a 6th generation farmer started the winery with his wife.  Their daughter Erin (for whom this wine is named) is a trained winemaker and the 7th generation.  A separate note will be posted on their still Gruner.  This is made in the traditional Champenois Methode.  Straw colored with smaller bubbles, clear and bright.  The nose has pears with slight dried grass note.  Medium bodied.  Lower acidity.  On the palate, this has flavors of pears with slight char.  More lemony on the finish.  This drinks easily on its own and should be very food friendly.  This would pair well with a kicked up Mac 'n Cheese.  drink over the next few years.
