2024 François Chidaine Les Argiles, France, VdF, Wine Review

This can no longer be labelled as Vouvray as even though that is where the grapes are grown, they are stored just outside the AOC geographic limits and must instead be labelled as Vin de France.  It is certified Organic and made from 100% Chenin Blanc.  Medium golden in color, clear and bright.  The nose is very nice with Red apples, slight orange peel, and a nice sea air note.  Medium bodied.  Crisp acidity.  Dry.  On the palate, this is tasty and refreshing.  Flavors of apples with lemon and orange peel notes.  Long finish.  This is very food friendly.  It will work with most sea foods but would also work well with Indian foods.  Drink over the next six to ten years.
