Pale golden in color, clear and bright. The nose is nice with limes, slight earthiness, clean, and slight white pepper. Medium to full bodied. Rounder on the palate. Flavors of limes and green apples. Good finish. Nice on its own, this will be better with food. This would go well with grilled green beans and other summer vegetables. Drink over the next few years.
This has some trapped CO2 in it which blew off quickly. The nose has tart citrus notes. Also some green apples. On the palate, this seemed ever so slightly sweet. Green apples with some orange peel. Nice depth and complexity. It was older than the other GV's tasted with but did not stand out (other than a bit more complexity). Good finish. Food friendly. Certainly seems like it has at least a decade left. $60
Light silvery/green/gold in color, clear and bright. The nose is dusty with limes and slight apples. Medium bodied. Good acidity. Some depth and complexity. On the palate, flavors of apples, cucumbers and minerals. Good finish. This is vibrant and fresh now and no reason to wait, but it should drink well for four to seven more years. Nice on its own, this would work very well with Sushi.
This is an inexpensive white wine that comes in a one liter bottle. Pale silvery/green/gold in color, clear and bright. The nose has limes. Light bodied. On the palate, this is dry with a tart limeade quality. Shorter finish. This will work better with food. It would be a nice choice with fried Artichokes. This would be a nice choice for a larger gathering as it has nice value. Drink now.
This sparkling wine from Austria is an blend sourced from the premier cru vineyards of Heiligenstein, Gaisberg, Grub and Lamm. It is about 50% Gruner Veltliner with the rest about 25% each Pinot Noir and Riesling. Golden in color with a steady stream of smaller bubbles. The nose has Vanilla, spice and minerals. Medium bodied. Slight tannins. On the palate, there is some depth. Very refreshing. Minerals, slight citrus, with underlying char. Some chalk on the finish. A very nice sparkline wine.
