This is an inexpensive white wine that comes in a one liter bottle. Pale silvery/green/gold in color, clear and bright. The nose has limes. Light bodied. On the palate, this is dry with a tart limeade quality. Shorter finish. This will work better with food. It would be a nice choice with fried Artichokes. This sparkling wine from Austria is an blend sourced from the premier cru vineyards of Heiligenstein, Gaisberg, Grub and Lamm. It is about 50% Gruner Veltliner with the rest about 25% each Pinot Noir and Riesling. Golden in color with a steady stream of smaller bubbles. The nose has Vanilla, spice and minerals. Labelled as a Sekt. Pale silvery gold/green in color. There is a nice row of small bubbles at the rim of the glass. The mousse dissipates rapidly. The nose is a bit soapy with light green apples. Its much more intense on the palate with tart green apples. Pretty crisp, this would go well with a wide variety of foods. The tart finish livens up the palate and entices the drinker to have another sip. At under $20, this is a nice value in sparkling wine. A bit less fruity and more tart than a Prosecco or a Cava in the same prices range.
