From on of the oldest wineries in Austria, this is a wine made from young vines (under age 20) and is a tremendous value. Light golden in color with slight silvery green hues, clear and bright. The nose is very nice with lemons, slight minerality, salinity, and fresh green herbs. Medium bodied. Crisp with nice mouthfeel. Good acidity. On the palate, this is refreshing and tasty. Flavors of lemons and minerality. Good finish. This is very nice on its own and will work well with lighter foods. Of course, Gruner is one of the few wines that works with asparagus. Drink over the next three to five years. Screw capped.
