This is a very nice Rosé from Provence in the south of France. It puts me in the mood for late spring and summer! It is a blend of Syrah, Grenache, Rolle, and Cinsault. It is priced fairly and well worth picking up while it is in the market. Light salmon pink in color with a tad of orange. A clear rim around the top of the glass. Clear and bright. The nose is lovely with peach, strawberries, and a touch of salinity. Medium bodied. Clean. On the palate, this has vibrant fruit. Crisp. Flavors of strawberries and slight cherries. An interesting touch of white pepper on the finish. This drinks well on its own and should work nicely with seafood or lighter fowl dishes. A nice wine for grilled salmon steaks off the grill. While it should drink well for a few years, drink now to really enjoy the freshness.
