This is their basic Barbera sourced from multiple vineyards. A truly excellent value and a great wine for the dinner table. Ruby/purple in color, mostly clear and bright. The nose is deep with black raspberries, some black cherries, slight spice and sage. Medium bodied. Medium tannins. Good acidity (less than I expected). On the palate, black cherries, cranberries, raspberries. Clean. Long finish. This wine begs for food (it is 100% Barbera). At great choice for Pizza night. Drink over the next five to seven years.
