Sandlands is a great source for high quality reasonably priced wines and their various Chenin Blancs are always a favorite.  This is the first time trying the Clarksburg version.  Pale straw yellow in color with subtle green hues, clear and bright.  The nose is nicce with lemon candy and slight floral notes along with some minerality.  Medium bodied.  Nice texture.  Great backbone of acidity.  On the palate, the lemon candy notes come thru (but this is dry not sweet) with some underlying minerality.  Long finish.  This is drinking well now and while some Chenin's can age, it is too early to say about this.  It should certainly go another five to eight years at least.  It is nice on its own but better with food.  Sushi would probably work but it went great with an upscale grilled cheese.
