2022 Rhys Chardonnay Horseshoe Vineyard, USA, California, Santa Cruz, Wine Review

My favorite Chardonnay.  It is especially convenient in the 500ml format (from their futures program).  Medium golden in color, clear and bright.  The nose is great with lemon cream, vanilla, some minerality, and slight spice.  Full bodied.  Light tannins.  Great acidity and balance.  On the palate, this is young but showing lots of depth and complexity.  It is also delicious.  Flavors of lemons, lemon cream, slight vanilla, spice and slight char.  Long finish.  This is great on its own but will work well with many foods.  It worked great with seared Tofu in a Garlic-Peanut sauce.  Drink over the next twenty years.
