This is the first vintage of this vineyard for Kutch. It is apparently about 3 miles from the Pacific Ocean. Light golden in color, clear and bright. The nose is nice with a touch of lemon cream, some minerality and salinity, and a bit of apple. Medium to full bodied. A rounder texture than expected both for Kutch and the location but perhaps that is the vintage. On the palate, lemons, lemon cream and some minerality. Long finish. This vineyard was recently replanted and one would think it needs a bit more time. It is an outstanding wine if not one of my favorite Kutch releases. Of course, it depends on what you like. This is nice on its own and would work well with most foods. It is big enough to work with spicy Thai.
