2021 Dominus Estate, USA, California, Napa, Yountville, Wine Review

A wine that I don't drink as much as I used to, it was nice to taste this and it showed well. About an hour decant prior to serving.  It is 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Cabernet Franc from Napa.  Purple in color, opaque and bright.  The nose took a few minutes and then opened with cassis, graphite, slight tobacco, cedar and spice.  Full bodied.  Firm tannins.  Great texture.  On the palate, this is complex and deep.  Layers of cassis, slight black cherries, chocolate, graphite and spice.  Long finish.  This needs more cellaring to hit peak but is great now.  Some day, this is a likely 100 point score.  Drink over the next thirty years. It went well with eggplant but would also be great with brisket or other Roasted foods.
