This is 100% Malbec from the Loire Valley. It is made up of three parcels, 25 years old, 60 years old and 100+ years old. It is vinified and aged in stainless steel. Deep garnet in color, mostly opaque and bright. The nose is nice with plums, black cherries and a slight herbal note. Medium bodied. Light tannins. Good acidity. On the palate, flavors of plums and black cherries. This is a leaner style of Malbec than even the south of France. That said, it works on this wine. It will be better with food. It would work well with Roasted Fowl or Pork but also Roasted Zucchini. Drink over the next three to five years.
