Very impressive. This is a blend of Petit Manseng and Sauvignon Blanc. It is supposed to be Virginia's version of a White Bordeaux and while there is no reason that Virginia can't stand on its own reputation, this wine is as good or better than most white Bordeauxs. Light green/yellow/gold in color, clear and bright. The nose is nice with slight peach, a bit of sorrel, and slight lemon zest notes. Medium bodied. Lovely slightly oily texture. Crisp acidity. On the palate, this has some depth and nice complexity. Flavors of crisp peach with herbal notes and a slight floral quality. Also a nice underlying minerality. Long finish. This drinks great on its own and would be nice with many foods. It would work well with seared scallops. Drink over the next five to ten years.
