A bit more elegant than many prior vintages.  Silvery/gold in color, clear and bright.  The nose is tight and takes a while to open.  Eventually showing lots of "wet rocks" and a decidedly concentrated, but not much fruit, nose.  Its all about minerality.  Viscous.  Sweet not cloying on the palate.  Moderate acidity.  A bit of salinity and lots of minerality on the nose.  Good finish.  This is wine that those who don't like over-the-top wines will love.  There is a lot here but with subtlety and less fruit.  It should age wonderfully.  Let this sit for another five to ten years and drink over the next ten to twenty after that.  It will work well with lighter foods and be great with chicken or tuna salad.
