Tasted at the winery.  This is 100% Corvina grapes.  Fifty percent of the grapes for this wine are harvested in September and are dried for about 3 months. The other 50% are harvested in mid-October and those do not see appassimento.  Deep purple in color, shimmering bright.  The nose has black cherries with slight rhubarb, also a touch of balsamic and a bit of cocoa.  Plush creamy texture.  Tingly acidity.  Light tannins.  On the palate, cherries, black cherries and plums with spice and char.  Long finish.  This shows plenty of depth and complexity.  It is great on its own but better with food.  It will work great with Pasta but also Roasted Vegetables and Rice.  Drink over the next eight to twelve years.
