Purple in color with ruby hues, opaque and bright. The nose is nice with black raspberries, clay and spice. Full bodied. Light tannins. On the palate, black raspberries, black cherries and slight alcohol note. 14.5% abv. Drinking well now and should continue for another five to eight years. Good on its own, this will work with bigger foods or even Meatloaf.
Nice to get a chance to revisit this with some serious age on it. The last time I tried it in 2014, it was great but young. Purple in color, ruby swirls, opaque and bright. The nose has black cherries, black raspberries, leather and black pepper. Velvety texture. This seems fully mature. Complex. Light tannins. On the palate, this has black raspberries, some char, a bit of earthy funk and black pepper. A bit sweet on the finish. This is everything one wants in a mature Syrah. Great on its own, this will work better with food. It would work well with Lamb Curry.

Nice texture. Long finish. This is drinking young but nicely. It may still improve but should drink well for another twelve to fifteen years. Nice on its own, this would work well with grilled lamb chops.
This was a very popular wine among friends. Inky purple in color. The nose has black raspberries, roasted herbs, slight roasted meats and black pepper. On the palate, juicy black raspberry fruit. Slightly jammy. A bit sweet. "Old school" Australian Shiraz but within reason. Not over blown for the style. This will need big and/or spicy food. It also works very nice as a cocktail wine. This is nice on its own and would work well with BBQ Ribs.

On the palate, black raspberries with some char. Good finish. This is a bit lighter in style and makes for easy drinking over the next five to eight years. A nice wine with a burger.
