This is the negociant wine from the famed Rhone producer. That said, it is still a very good wine and priced significantly lower than the Hermitage Blanc. It was very different from a bottle tried a couple of years ago and while still excellent, not as good as that bottle. Of course, Northern Rhone whites can be very mysterious. Medium golden in color, clear and bright. The nose is nice with lemon, vanilla, spice and slight beeswax. Very nice slightly oily texture. full bodied. Nicely balanced. On the palate, vanilla and lemons with underlying spice. Long finish. This is drinking well now and should continue for another seven to ten years. Nice on its own, this will work with many foods. This would go well with broiled lobster but also a nice creamy Risotto.
