Classic Brunello from a stellar vintage.  Garnet in color, mostly clear and bright.  The nose opens quickly showing cherries, cranberries, sandalwood, and slight tea leaves.  full bodied.  Strong backbone of acidity.  On the palate, cherries with slight black cherries.  Firm tannins. Some underlying forest floor and cedar notes.  Nice finish.  This is young and in need of time.  Give it a few more years in the cellar and then drink for fifteen more years after that.  It drinks nicely on its own but will be better with food.  Pasta is a great choice but this will work well with a steak, too.
