Purple in color, opaque and bright. The nose is big with blueberries, cassis, char and slight spice. Deep Full bodied. Complex. On the palate cassis, slight blueberries, coffee and char. Medium tannins. Good balance. Nice finish. This is drinking well on its own and should continue for another twelve to fifteen years. Nice on its own, this will work nice with grilled meats and veggies.
This wine is made in northeast, Ohio with purchased grapes from Red Mountain, WA. It is a very good Cab and a nice value. Purple in color with ruby hues, mostly opaque and bright. The nose has a bit of a smoky quality but also cassis, slight cedar and spice. Full bodied. Medium tannins. Good balance. On the palate, cassis, slight black cherry and char. Good finish. This is not a robust Cab but it does have enough fruit to drink on its own and would work well with a burger. Drink over the next five to seven years.
Glass "cork" is very cool. Purple in color. This is a pretty classic Washington Cabernet. The nose has cassis, black cherries, tobacco and slight bell pepper. On the palate, this is in a good place if still a bit young. Cassis layered with tobacco and earth. Some tannins. Slightly bitter in a good way. Nice finish. This works well with food. Probably will continue to mature and layer, but not really get better, just different. Very nice wine right now.
One of the stars of Washington wines. Purple, ruby at the rim. The nose is really interesting. It had a spiciness which seems quite unique. Also some black cherries, kirsch, and toast. On the palate, this is still tannic. Plenty of black cherry fruit though, so this should continue to develop. Medium bodied. Plenty of ripeness here but not over the top. Some heat on the finish. It drinks well now, but seems like further improvement is likely. Needs bigger foods to pair with.
