Impressive Rhone blend from central California. Inky purple in color, opaque and bright. The nose is great with black raspberries, black cherries, roasted meats, white pepper and spice. Full bodied. Medium tannins. This is a big wine and at age 9, it is still very youthful but worth opening. Loads of fruit. Black raspberries, black cherries, plums but also some spice and char on the palate. Long finish. This is delicious on its own. Its the kind of wine one could spend an hour or two just enjoying a glass. It will work with food with bigger flavors. A nice wine with a Cassoulet. Drink over the next ten to twenty years.
