Great showing for this wine.  It is a blend of 40% Mourvedre, 28% Syrah, 27% Grenache and 5% Counoise from California's Central Coast.  This wine has matured brilliantly and if you have a bottle, definitely worth opening right now. ... I'll wait. .... Purple in color with ruby hues, mostly opaque and bright.  The nose is wonderful.  The kind of nose that makes one want to keep sniffing.  Black cherries, black raspberries, plums, clean earthiness, slight dark chocolate, roasted meats and spice.  Full bodied.  Light to medium tannins.  On the palate, this seems to be at peak.  Complex layers of fruit with a youthful vibrancy.  Flavors of black cherries, plums and cherries with underlying earthiness and slight char.  Long finish.  At age 15, this is a contemplative wine.  It will probably go another five to seven more at this stage and even longer as it starts to slide.  Great on its own but better with food.  It went great with Felafel and Humus.
